While receiving the ambulances at the Kano State Government House, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, represented by his deputy, Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, commended NACA and Global Fund for the donation, saying it would complement government’s efforts in providing immediate response towards strengthening healthcare delivery in the state.

“I wish to commend the effort of the donors for their support to the state government through their interventions to improve emergency medical services and healthcare delivery”.

Earlier, the Director-General of NACA Dr Gambo Aliyu Gumel represented by the Director, Special Duties Baidi Gajo Muhammed explained that the donation was in appreciation of Kano State Government’s efforts towards HIV/AIDS control and other healthcare services.

“Our attention was attracted by the commitment of Kano State Government to provide accessible and qualitative health services to its people.” He said.

In his remarks, the Commissioner of Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa said the ambulances are equipped with qualitative medical equipment and gadgets and assured that they would be put to judicious use.
