I won’t leave my husband if he cheats – Yeni Kuti
Yeni Kuti, daughter of afrobeat creator Fela Kuti, recently shared her perspective on remaining in her matrimonial home even in the face of infidelity.
During an interview with Chude, Yeni reflected on her father’s unconventional approach to fatherhood, saying, “My father was a father to his children in his own way, but in a conventional sense, he was not.”
She explained that her father treated all his children equally, without favoritism, and “he treated them like every other human being.”
When questioned about her personal stance on infidelity, Yeni confidently stated, “I will not leave my husband if I caught him cheating. You can leave your own husband if he’s cheating, that’s you. Don’t judge me, I’m not judging you.”
She further justified her decision by drawing inspiration from her own family history, saying, “My father had 27 wives, my mother didn’t go, so is it me that will not come and go because of one girl? It cannot happen.”
