Israel’s War on Iran: Repercussions of the destruction of Fordow and killing of Ayatollah Khameini, by Ayuba Ahmad
Under the pretext of stopping Iran from having nuclear bombs or weapons, as well as “preemptively preventing Iran from striking Israel”, the warmongering, blood-thirsty Zionist regime of Benjamin Netanyahu unexpectedly bombarded Iran with characteristic savagery on the 13th of June, 2025.
Aided and guided by Iranian moles and traitors on the payroll of the Jewish state, that initial assault resulted in the deaths of seventeen Senior military commanders, scores of Iranian nuclear energy scientists, and many other civilians.
The Israeli forces have also targeted two of the Iranian nuclear power plants at Isfahan and Natanz. According to credible, independent reports, only the surface portions of the two facilities above the ground were affected. Therefore, all relevant authorities including the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, have not reported significant radioactive emissions resulting from ruptures or impact of the strikes.

Netanyahu and his American collaborator, Donald Trump, who have repeatedly vowed that “Iran cannot and must not be allowed to have nuclear weapons”, have since shifted focus to the third known nuclear enrichment facility at Fordow in the Qom province. This mission at Fordow is not an easy one to accomplish. This is for the reason that the facility is built about sixty metres deep beneath a formidable, solid mountain.
Israel does not have in its arsenal bombs, bunker busters with the needed capacity to penetrate or shatter the rock to get to the facility. It has, as such, requested the USA, which has the kind of bombs and the means of delivering them, the B2 Stealth bomber. Donald Trump, who has been unequivocal and strident in his avowal that “Iran cannot be allowed to have a nuclear bomb”, is surely going to oblige Israel sooner rather than later. Regardless of the pressure at home and abroad.
Notorious for always shifting the goal posts in the middle of games, the gregarious and insatiable blood sucking rogues at the helm in TelAviv have added the assassination of the Spiritual Head of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to the list of its objectives in the war. Hinting at Israel’s intention of killing the Iranian leader, Netanyahu has repeatedly debunked the view that such an action was fraught with the danger of escalation of the war.
“Instead of escalating the war, the death of the Iranian leader will bring the war to an end.”

His US counterpart, Donald Trump, has been more categorical on the plan to assassinate Imam Khameini: “Ayatollah Khamenei is an easy target. We know where he is hiding right now. But he won’t be killed for now.” So cold! So brutal! So impertinent! And, so audacious!
Of course, with a long history of cold-blooded murder of real and perceived enemies, the assassination of Imam Khameini is not beyond the Zionists. Against the backdrop of their recent assassinations carried out in Gaza, Lebanon and now, Iran, hitting the Iranian Spiritual Leader would be made easy with the collaboration of the Iranian uniquely unpatriotic and unconscionable quislings.
While Israel and the USA are at it, the question is: “So what, even if at the end of the day, Fordow and every other Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities are completely obliterated and Imam Ali Khameini is assassinated?”
Given their much-orchestrated intelligence, Israel and the USA would have been expected to understand that their anticipated (but truly unlikely) victories in the circumstances would only come after gruelling battles with unimaginably heavy tolls in human casualties and fundamental disruptions to the existing world order. It is, in other words, going to be a pyrrhic victory, a victory coming at a cost that makes it unworthy of the investments.
We would have expected that the two warmongers in Tel Aviv and Washington knew enough to appreciate that Iran is not going to be a walk in the park, as were the expeditions in Iraq and recently in Gaza.

The path leading to their dream triumph over the great Persian nation is also clearly strewn with the dangers of leading to the eruption of a myriad of other catastrophic conflicts in the volatile Middle East region and beyond. Slowly, but steadily, these scums and rogues are beating the drums for a Word War III!
Besides the fact that Iran has enough in its war chest to defend itself and to cause huge damages to the aggressors, what happens if, in the process of destroying the so-called nuclear assets in Iran, we have an “accident” of ruptures in the facilities that result in major radiation emissions?
It is hoped that the dangerous adventurers to Iran have heard the warning from Russia regarding the danger of hitting the Bushehr power plant. According to a senior Russian nuclear scientist, “If there is a strike on the operational first power plant at Bushehr, there will be a catastrophe comparable to Chernobyl.”
Similarly, Maria Zakharova, Russian spokesperson on foreign affairs, has cautioned the USA against direct involvement in the war: “We would like to specially warn Washington against military intervention in the situation, which will be an extremely dangerous step with unspeakable negative consequences.”

That is just as countries in the Middle East, including friends and allies of Israel and the USA, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, et al., are frantically engaged in diplomatic moves to stop the war from further escalation. In the same way, a cross-section of Americans, including leading lights of the country’s political and business elites, are vehemently against the US fighting a war for Israel and one that was senselessly and baselessly triggered by Israel. Ever so obstinate and so inured and impervious to reasoning, Donald Trump looks like he would defy all the entreaties and warnings of US citizens and the country’s global friends and allies.
Talking of the assassination of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. So what?
Firstly, as a war-tested veteran and the spiritual leader of a sectarian nation whose citizens are adherents of a faith that believes and cherishes martyrdom, the Ayatollah cannot be expected to be scared of death or intimidated by the threat of it. To the Iranians, that is in fact, a very welcome and most noble end to a man’s mortal journey on earth. Balderdash!
Alas, alas, alas. Just as I was at the point of drawing the curtain on this article, my system beamed the breaking News that the crankhead at the White House had just bombed the three Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities!

Expectedly, there has been a flurry of condemnations from all quarters of the globe. These include countries, the United Nations and prominent world citizens. Of course, the real reactions to this instance of Donald Trump’s madness are yet to begin to manifest. But certainly, it will not just go away. America and Israel will pay, very heavily, far into the distant future for their unbridled show of rascality, impunity and utter disregard for the sensitivity of the rest of the world; the peace, stability and prosperity of the world and the articles of the charters guiding peaceful co-existence of countries.
One does not have to be a clairvoyant to foresee the emergence of mushroom groups embarking on targeting citizens and infrastructure of the USA and Israel all over the world. The regional and international turmoils in the aftermath of Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Muammar Gaddafi in Libya may turn out to be mere kindergarten jokes.
Very pertinently, if the goal of the duo of the USA and Israel was to stop Iran from possessing nuclear weapons, these attacks on the three facilities may have just had the reverse effect of acting as a catalyst that will spur Iran on the path of accelerated development of nuclear bombs.
If hitherto, Iran had honestly only intended to have nuclear power for civil purposes such as electricity generation, the Donald Trump-Benjamin Netanyahu action would have jolted Tehran into realisation of the imperative of nuclear weapons as a critical deterrent against aggressors, the likes of Washington and Tel Aviv.

In their foolhardiness, those seeking to hinder Iran from laying its hands on nuclear weapons simplistically believe in achieving their goals through the killing of identified Iranian nuclear scientists and obliterating facilities at Isfahan, Natanz and Fordow. That is extreme foolhardiness, because nuclear science or its know-how is widespread among tens of thousands of Iranian citizens. Meaning that sooner rather than later, Iran could become a nuclear power.
Effecting a regime change by way of assassinating Ayatollah Ali Khamenei? That will be another exercise in futility. The Iranian political culture and structures are solidly entrenched and etched in the vast majority of Iranians. The few clusters of the clans of renegades from which the Zionists have been recruiting their spies do count in a country of over 100 million, highly nationalistic and literate citizens.
The bottom line of it all is that this war has just started and doesn’t look like a war that will end soon.
