Jigawa court sentences 4 men to life imprisonment for raping a 14-year-old
A Jigawa State high court has made a landmark decision by sentencing four individuals to life imprisonment for the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Kurmi quarters, Gwaram Local Government Area.
The convicted individuals are Sale Ibrahim (40), Amadu Saleh (46), Sale Ali (40), and Danmami Yusuf (37).
During the trial, the prosecution counsel meticulously presented four witnesses, a medical report, and two exhibits to support the case.

After a thorough examination of the evidence and hearings from both sides, the court determined that the prosecution had incontrovertibly proven the guilt of the accused.
Consequently, the court declared the accused guilty of rape, a violation of Section 3 (1) and punishable under Section 3 (2a & 2b) of the VAPP Laws of Jigawa State.
This verdict comes after the recent sentencing of Aminu Ali, 25, to life imprisonment for rape and sodomy in the state high court.
