Kano Police arrest businessman, Alhaji Ibrahim, who impregnated 14-year-old

Policemen from Bompai Headquarters in Kano, yesterday succeeded in arresting one Alhaji Ibrahim who impregnated a 14-year-old JSS 3 student, Humaira Ado of Adasawa quarters.
Alhaji Ibrahim had earlier dragged the family of the minor, Humaira Ado to a Sharia Court in Kano, in an attempt to divert attention and escape justice, but finally after his hide and seek for a week, he was arrested yesterday, though he was allowed to go home and report this morning.

A spokesman for the family of the victim, told our correspondent on phone today that at the time of this report the accused was at Bompai Police Headquarters, but he is surprised that in spite of the massive publicity given to the case by Neptune Prime, no reporter from other media houses in Kano has started following the case.
Kano State, he said has about 10 FM stations, powerful NUJ and correspondent chapel, especially Freedom Radio that is famous for following such cases in their “Inda Ranka programme” being handled by the no-nonsense reporter Nasiru Salisu Zango.
He is calling on, Human Rights Lawyers, Media Houses, NGO’s, Women Lawyers, to please start following the case so that it won’t be killed by powerful individuals.
He added that the lady has seriously being traumatized, hardly eats, talks less, is always home crying and it can affect her health. Worst still the person who impregnated her is their blood relation, he is like a father to her, but he decided to destroy her life to satisfy his selfish desire.
