Kano State Commissioner tackles Kwankwaso for alleging that Ganduje did not win 2019 governorship elections

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Kano State government on Sunday dismissed the claims by the former Governor of the state, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as false and baseless, that Governor Ganduje did not win the 2019 Governorship, but was only imposed on Kano people.

Speaking in Kano, Commissioner for Information Youths and Culture, Comrade Muhammad Garba on behalf of Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje said that Kwankwaso in 2019 as a  leader of PDP in Kano organized a perfect rigging plan and rigging network particularly in Kano metropolis and engaged youths mostly without voter’s card to perpetrate massive fraud and rigging.

The Commissioner added that Kwankwaso’s interview with the media in Abuja, where he attempted to rubbish Ganduje’s administration has done him more harm than good, especially now that all political leaders in Kano are making efforts to reconcile their differences. It is unfortunate and very embarrassing, the commissioner lamented.

It could be recalled that former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Sunday last week in Abuja had a major media interview where he was quoted as saying: “That Ganduje did not win the 2019 elections in Kano but he was imposed on the electorates by some powerful individuals outside the state, alleging that though they had the capacity to resist the fake victor of APC, they decided to go to court where they did not also get justice”.
