Kidnappers in Osun abduct bread seller, demand N5 million ransom

Kidnappers in Osun State have demanded the sum of N5000, 000 as a ransom for a bread seller that was abducted on Monday morning.

The victim popularly known as ‘gettin’ was abducted by gunmen at Ifawara, Atakumo local government area of the state while distributing bread with a car.

According to reports, the victim was abducted around 4 am at the express road en route Iwaraja in the state.

It was gathered that the kidnappers that same day sent a message to the community requesting the sum of N5 million as ransom before he could be freed.

However, a resident in Ifewara, Wale Babatunde, told Vanguard that the ransom was later reduced to N500,000 and the community members have started contributing to ensure the victim’s safe release.

The spokesperson of the Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
