NRC suspends train services in Delta, Kogi

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended train services between Ujevwu in Delta State and Itakpe in Kogi State due to an obstruction on the track.

This suspension commenced on Friday, July 5, 2024, with services expected to resume on Monday, July 8, 2024.

In a public notice, the NRC informed passengers that those who had booked tickets online would receive refunds.

The NRC expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by this suspension.

The suspension follows reports of a train derailment on Thursday, July 4, although some sources claim the train only staggered along the track.
