Police arrest 16-year-old boy with locally made gun
A young boy has been arrested in possession of an illegal firearm in Lagos State.
According to reports, the 16-year-old boy, identified as Solomon Ibiwoye, was seen parading with a pistol, and was subsequently reported by residents to the police.
He was trailed and found with the firearm in the Ebute-Ero area of the state.

Confirming the arrest in a post via his official X page, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said;
“Kudos to observant Lagosians who noticed 16-year-old Solomon Ibiwoye with a firearm and discreetly alerted Ebute-Ero Police Division.”
He added that the police proceeded to search the teenager’s house, and the locally made gun was found.
“One more firearm off the streets,” he said,
“See something, say something!” he stated
