Prominent monarch, Olubadan of Ibadan, passes away at 90

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is dead, having reportedly passed away on Monday morning after spending just one year on the throne.

Sources close to the palace confirmed the development, describing it as a great loss to the people of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large. Details surrounding the circumstances of his death are still emerging as of press time.

Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne in 2024, following the demise of his predecessor. His reign, though brief, was marked by efforts to promote unity, peace, and development across Ibadanland.
