Rarara sponsors fans’ weddings in Kano, presents gifts

Story by Aliyu ASKIRA

Popular Kannywood singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara, has sponsored the wedding ceremonies of his fans in Kano in the company of his two wives.

According to reports, Rarara also showered the newlyweds with exotic gifts during the occasion.

The ceremony, which spanned over a week before ending, was attended by many Kannywood stars. During the reception, the singer sang melodious love songs he composed specially for each of the couples.

Beyond the music and celebration, the atmosphere was made even more touching by the thoughtful exchange of wedding gifts that carried deep sentimental value. In many Northern ceremonies, a return gift is more than a token — it is a blessing wrapped in memory.

Guests received carefully prepared keepsakes, including delicately crafted perfume bottles, embroidered prayer mats, and elegant keepsake boxes filled with sweets. Among them were beautifully designed keychains engraved with the couples’ names and wedding date, sourced through promotional keychains wholesale to ensure every guest carried home a lasting reminder of the joyous union.

These small but meaningful gifts reflected the spirit of generosity that defined the entire celebration, turning the event into not just a wedding, but a shared memory stitched into the hearts of everyone present.

Rarara has grown from a Qur’anic knowledge seeker who came to Kano from Katsina state to a household name in the entertainment industry.

He is also a well-known philanthropist who has built many mosques in Kano city and in many villages.

He is regarded as a game changer in political engagement in the northern part of Nigeria.

Rarara’s gesture is coming a few months after he tied the knot with his longtime lover, Aisha Humaira.
