Residents in Jos cry out for lack of water

The residents of Kyan Rikkos and Nassarawa Gwom communities of Jos North LGA have cried out to the Plateau State government to come to their aid by restoring the water supply to the area.

According to one of the residents of the affected areas, Mr Mohammed Kabir, the areas have been without water supply for more than two weeks of which the situation is causing a lot of hardship on the residents, including Jenta Adamu, Mangoro is complaining of lack of access to drinking water.

The residents fear for a possible break out of water-related diseases as a result of non-supply of water to the area and are therefore calling on the authorities concerned especially the Plateau State Water Board to come to their aid.

Efforts to reach the management of the state water board proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
