Ritualists kill 22-year-old lady, dump body behind mother’s shop

Shakirat, a 22-year old lady has been murdered by suspected ritualists and her remains dumped behind her mother’s shop in Oke-Oore, Iwo community of Osun State.

A resident of Oke-Oore, who pleaded anonymity said villagers found Shakirat’s corpse dumped at the back of her mother’s shop by the ritualists.

Sources revealed that Shakirat had gone missing since Wednesday March 9, leaving her family in agony, as they put efforts to discover her whereabout.

“She was last seen Wednesday afternoon and her family members became worried when she did not return in the evening,” the source said.

“Her corpse was found behind her mother’s shop very early on Thursday. Some police operatives later came and took her body to a morgue in Iwo General Hospital.

Spokesperson of the Osun police State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the development said police had commenced investigation into the incident.

Opalola added that the command wanted autopsy to be carried out on the corpse, but her family insisted on burying her peacefully, which the police obliged and released the corpse to the family.
