Shettima set to visit Nasarawa Friday

The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima is set to embark on a one-day working visit to Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, on Friday, January 3, 2025.

Governor Abdullahi Sule announced the visit during the signing ceremony of the 2025 appropriation bill at the Government House in Lafia on Monday.

During his visit, Vice President Shettima will engage in four significant official activities, including the graduation ceremony for over 1,000 trained technicians at the Wing Commander Ibrahim Abdullahi Vocational and Technical Institute, with participants coming from all parts of the nation.

Additionally, the vice president will lead the groundbreaking ceremony for the head office of the Nasarawa Investment Development Agency (NASIDA) and the Multi Outdoor Court, which is financed by a $4 million World Bank facility.

In a demonstration of support for local governance, Vice President Shettima will also distribute tractors to local government chairmen and provide rice seedlings and relief materials to internally displaced persons affected by recent floods.
