Strict father beats 14-year-old daughter to death for dating neighbour

An angry father has been arrested for beating his 14-year-old daughter to death for being in a relationship with their neighbour.

Amos Rutendo Nyamangondo, a native of Nyanga in Zimbabwe, stands accused of using a mulberry tree switch to savagely beat his daughter after accusing her of having an affair with a neighbour.

The victim, Rufaro Nyamangodo, tragically passed away on December 29, 2023, after succumbing to the injuries sustained on December 23, 2023, in Mangwanda Village, Mutasa, Honde Valley.

The National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the devastating news, shedding light on the distressing case of domestic violence.

This heart-rending incident has left the community in shock and disbelief, as a father’s misguided actions turned a family tragedy into a nightmare.

The suspect’s accusations of his daughter’s involvement with a neighbour led to this unfathomable act of violence, leaving behind a trail of grief and disbelief.
