Terrorists kill two, kidnap 30 in an attack on Kogi community

Panic gripped residents of Ayegunle Bunu in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State after armed bandits launched a deadly attack on the community in the early hours of Monday, killing two people and abducting 30 others. The attack, which occurred around 2:25 a.m. on June 1, 2026, saw heavily armed assailants invade the community, abducting residents and travelers along the route.
