Traders count losses as fire ravages popular market

Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, has expressed heartfelt sympathy to shop owners and residents affected by a devastating fire outbreak opposite NSTA garage, Tunga, Minna, which destroyed properties worth millions of Naira.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described the incident as “a tragic and trying moment for the victims of the fire incident,” emphasising that he shared in their pain.

He urged those affected to remain resilient and take solace in God, stating that their faith would lead to blessings beyond what was lost in the disaster.

Governor Bago also noted the rising frequency of fire outbreaks in Minna and called on relevant agencies to intensify public sensitisation efforts to prevent such tragedies.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the victims, he assured that assistance would be provided through appropriate agencies to alleviate their losses.
