Troops of the Joint Task Force, Tundun Wada, have arrested a 55-year-old suspected notorious kidnapper in Sumana village, Tundun Wada Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State.

According to a statement issued to newsmen by Capt. Babatunde Zubairu, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 3 Brigade, of Kano on Tuesday, the suspect was apprehended on April 20.

The statement noted that the suspect was paraded before the Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Tukur, who celebrated the Easter festivals with troops of Forward Operating Base (FOB) Falgore, in Doguwa LGA, Kano.

It noted that the commander lauded the troops for their bravery and professionalism.

According to the statement, a cache of arms, ammunition and other critical items were recovered during the operation.
