Twins of Terror: How they abduct their victims, dismember their bodies for sale, fortune soap, magic powder
Twin brothers, Taiwo and Kehinde Yemitan, once seen as a blessing in Yoruba culture, have become a chilling source of horror in Ogun State. The 47-year-old twins, who worked as carpenters and herbalists, confessed to operating a kidnapping and ritual murder syndicate. Their latest victim, a young woman named Darasimi, was brutally killed and dismembered, with her body parts sold for money-making rituals and used to produce fortune soap and magic powders.
The siblings were arrested by the Ogun State Police Command and local security agencies after weeks of investigation. Taiwo was apprehended on December 22, 2024, alongside an accomplice, Kazeem, for the murder and mutilation of Darasimi. Kehinde, who initially fled, was later captured on December 30, 2024, following a tip-off.
According to police spokesperson Omolola Odutola, Darasimi, a sex worker, was lured to the suspects’ hideout in Abeokuta, where she was served food and later murdered. Taiwo confessed that the victim’s body parts were sold for various prices—hands and legs for ₦50,000, while a head or heart fetched ₦100,000.
Taiwo admitted their gruesome activities began after Kehinde introduced him to the trade during a visit. “We started this after receiving training as herbalists in Kwara State while working on a carpentry project at a private university. Kehinde has been involved full-time, but I combined it with carpentry,” he revealed.
The brothers used accomplices, including a man named Kazeem, who supplied human parts. They also employed a young boy, Samson, for errands but shielded him from witnessing their crimes. “Samson helps with chores and fetching water. We couldn’t harm him because his mother knew he worked for us,” Taiwo explained.

Recounting their final crime, Taiwo said, “Darasimi was lured from the Lafenwa area and brought to our office in Abeokuta. She was served a meal before being attacked. Kazeem slaughtered her while Kehinde and I restrained her. We dismembered her body, keeping some parts for rituals and selling others to a supposed buyer.”
The buyer, however, turned out to be a member of the local security outfit, Agbekoya, who set up a sting operation that led to Taiwo’s arrest. Kehinde was captured days later.
Now in custody, the Yemitan twins express regret, pleading for forgiveness. “I warned Kehinde about the consequences, but he didn’t listen,” Taiwo said. “We promise never to return to this crime if pardoned.”
The police have vowed to ensure justice for the victims, with investigations ongoing to uncover the full extent of the twins’ activities.
