We are not after winning elections, but developing Nigeria – Buhari

Story from Ibraheem Hamza MUHAMMAD

President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not just focused on winning elections, but interested in developing Nigeria.

Buhari made the announcement in his speech at the APC Special Presidential Convention Primary election at Eagle Square, Abuja.

According to him, “I commend the party stakeholders for organising party exercises. We have a big task ahead, I congratulate all the winners and runners-up in the party primaries.

“I urge you to abide by party rules and avoid acrimony.

“The Abdullahi Adamu-led executives will be fair to all and a level playing field to all aspirants. Delegates should abide by rules and regulations in order to secure victory for our party in the next election. National Executive Council (NEC) vested its powers in National Working Committee (NWC) during this critical time.

“Many people have a short memory. Despite a nearly collapsed economy, the high price of oil, and insurgency, we were despised internationally. banditry, kidnapping.

“Rehabilitation of infrastructure is ongoing. We are implementing reforms. These major achievements are historic. Not just winning elections, but to steer the country forward.” The President adds.
