Zulum expresses anger over lack of electricity in Gwoza hospital

Story from Kasim Isa Muhammad

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State expressed disappointment when he discovered that the General Hospital in Gwoza town was without electricity in a surprise visit.

During tour of the Gwoza general hospital, he noticed the lack of basic amenities, particularly the absence of electricity.

Zulum stated, “This is totally unacceptable as it compromises patient care and hinders the efforts of healthcare professionals. Both the local government authority and I have failed to address this issue.”

In response, Governor Zulum immediately ordered the renovation of the hospital, including the restoration of power.

He also commended the medical staff for their dedication despite working in poor conditions and announced rewards for their efforts.
