Zulum flags off palliative for 3,000 constituents

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has launched the distribution of palliatives provided by Engr. Bukar Talba, the House of Representatives member for Marte, Monguno, and Nganzai Constituency.

Approximately 3,000 constituents benefitted from this initiative, receiving both food items and cash donations.

Governor Zulum, represented by the Secretary to the Borno State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijjani, praised the lawmaker for offering much-needed support to his constituents, many of whom have been severely affected by over a decade of insurgency.

Each of the three local government areas—Monguno, Marte, and Nganzai—saw 1,000 beneficiaries, each receiving a bag of rice, a bag of maize, and ₦20,000 in cash.

In his speech, Engr. Bukar Talba highlighted his accomplishments over the past two years, including constructing classrooms, providing farming equipment, and supporting thousands of constituents through livelihood and skills acquisition programs.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Deputy Chief of Staff Dr. Babagana Mallumbe, Monguno State House of Assembly representative Maina Garbu, commissioners, local government chairmen, party stakeholders, and senior government officials.
