Troops rescue humanitarian workers, kill dozens of Boko Haram terrorists

The 151 Task Force Battalion Banki troops, Operation Hadin Kai, have neutralised an unspecified number of Boko Haram terrorists and rescued two humanitarian workers in the Sambisa forest.

It was gathered that the insurgents were killed after the troops in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force and Hybrid forces, stormed the Hideouts of terrorists in Gargash in the axis of Bama Local Government Area of Borno State

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the terrorists had been hibernating within the general area to carry out attacks within the Banki general area before they were intercepted and eliminated.

The sources said that in the cause of the engagement, two humanitarian workers abducted from Monguno in 2022 were rescued.

The troops also recovered three Hilux vehicles, one mounted with Anti Aircraft guns from the terrorists’ camp.
