Released #EndBadGovernance protest minors arrive State House

The minors arrested and detained over their involvement in the #EndBadGovernance protests have arrived the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This development follows President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to release and reunite them with their families or guardians across the nation.

According to reports from Daily Trust, the minors are set to meet with Vice-President Kashim Shettima, who will hand them over to their respective governors to facilitate their return from Abuja.

Earlier, the Federal High Court in Abuja discharged the minors, following a request from the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) led by Lateef Fagbemi, leading to the case against them being struck out by Justice Obiora Egwatu.

Notably, Governors Uba Sani of Kaduna and Abba Yusuf of Kano have already arrived at the Presidential Villa for this significant occasion.

They are joined by key ministers, including Tunji Alausa (Education), Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), and Balarabe Lawal (Environment), along with the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Tanko Sununu, and Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement Northwest, Abdullahi Yakasai.
