Court remands 22-year-old security guard for raping 4-year-old pupil

A magistrate court in Ogudu, Lagos state, has remanded 22-year-old Ifeanyi Kelvin Udoka, a security guard, for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl.

Magistrate S.K. Matepo ordered the remand of Udoka at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending the advice of the Director of Lagos Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The case was adjourned to June 25.

Udoka was charged in court on Monday over the alleged defilement of the minor.

The charge sheet reads, “That you, Ifeanyi Kelvin Udoka ‘M’, sometimes in May, 2025, at King Heritage School Ikosi Ketu in the Ikeja Magisterial district did defile one (name withheld) ‘F’, age 4 years old, by having canal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 137 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015.”

Based on the information contained in the charge sheet, the alleged rape of the minor took place at the King Heritage School, Ikosi Ketu.

A source familiar with the case told TheCable that the alleged rape came to light when the minor’s grandmother noticed some unusual behaviours exhibited by the child after she returned from school.

The source said it was discovered that the child started urinating on herself uncontrollably during the day.

The source said the child’s grandmother also noticed some discharge on the girl’s pants, which led her to ask what had happened at school.

The child told her grandmother that the security guard at the school touched her “bum bum”.

The Ketu police station is prosecuting the case.
