Senator Bomoi distributes Covid-19, Ramadan reliefs

As part of Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai’s effort to ensure that his constituents receive relief items to cushion the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown, today he has launched the disbursement of over 14,000 bags of assorted grains to the poor and vulnerable households within his constituency.

According to a statement by his aide Abubakar MB Tamana, the items are meant to be distributed to members of the community especially the widows, the elderly and the needy in each of the 44 wards of Yobe South Senatorial District, with the view to cushioning the effects of the lockdown designed to check the spread of COVID-19, he further disclosed that the relief items will be distributed to the needy irrespective of their political affiliation, religion, and tribe.

Abubakar MB Tamana further noted that Distinguished Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai is mindful of the current challenges, and the presentation is in line with his commitment to providing palliative to his constituents.

In a bid to reduce women vulnerability and economic dependency in all sphere of life in Yobe South, you may be recalled that earlier this month Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai has disclosed that he will empower 1000 women across Yobe South Senatorial District.
