Abuja farm manager steals N5.4 million worth of chickens from employer

Patrick Olusegun, a 36-year-old farm manager in Abuja, has been brought to court on allegations of stealing 542 chickens valued at N5.4 million.

According to the prosecution, Mr. Stanley Nwafoaku, the case was reported to the Lugbe Police Station on September 8th by Mr. Ajayi Elijah, owner of Wale John Farms in Lugbe, Abuja.

The complainant had hired the defendant in July to manage his poultry farm, which housed over a thousand birds. However, upon conducting a stock check, it was discovered that 542 chickens, worth N5.4 million, were missing.

Subsequently, the defendant was apprehended and during the police investigation, he failed to provide a satisfactory account of the missing chickens.
