African Development Bank to partner Yobe on infrastructure

Yobe state government has commenced discussions with officials of the African Development Bank on areas to partner especially in supply of water, sanitation, healthcare delivery, education and empowerment programmes, among others, to improve the lives of the people of the state.

Mr Lamin Barrow, the Country Director, African Development Bank, commended Governor Buni for working hard to provide accessible healthcare to the people.

“The healthcare centres your administration has put in place would no doubt improve the quality of life of your people and we will support you in this direction.

“The bank is also considering agricultural development along the Kumadugu Yobe river basin”, Barrow said.

Responding, Governor Buni commended the team affirming that the partnership was necessary to fast track the recovery plan of the state government and improve the lives of the people.
