Armed mason rapes prophetess sleeping inside church

In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old laborer, Lekan Sunday, has been apprehended by the Ogun State Police for allegedly raping a Prophetess inside a church.

The suspect, Lekan Sunday, forcibly entered the Orioke Aanu Oluwa Gbohunmi church in the Ilogbo Adu area of Kemta, Abeokuta. Armed with a knife, he startled the sleeping Prophetess, whom he held hostage, demanding sexual favors. He threatened to harm her if she did not comply.

Although the Prophetess raised an alarm, her cries for help from the people nearby went unanswered. She ultimately pleaded with the assailant. Despite her pleas, Sunday persisted, subjecting her to a horrifying ordeal.

After accomplishing his gruesome act, Sunday fled the scene, believing he would escape identification. To his dismay, the brave victim identified him and promptly reported the incident to the local police.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and shared that the Prophetess recognized the suspect as a mason and laborer in the area. The suspect faces the possibility of several years in prison for armed rape, pending the conclusion of the police investigation.
