Bandits kill 7 in fresh Kaduna attacks

The continuous onslaught by bandits in the Chikun, Kajuru and Giwa Local Government Areas of Kaduna State has resulted in the death of at least seven persons in the last three days.

Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday.

Aruwan said the developments were reported to the state government by security agencies.

According to him, bandits shot four people at the outskirts of Tsohon Gayan general area of Chikun local government area.

He said two people identified as Solomon Bamaiyi and Francis Moses from Kakau village of the same local government were killed, while another unidentified person from Kachia was also killed.

He said one Danjuma Alhaji, a native of Tsohon Farakwai of Igabi local government was also killed by bandits at the outskirts of Galadima General Area of Giwa local government.

The commissioner stated that the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has sent condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the repose of their souls.
