DSS denies custody of suspended CBN Governor, Emefiele

The Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted claims that Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is in their custody.

Speculations arose after Emefiele’s suspension was announced on Friday, suggesting that he had been apprehended by DSS agents.

However, the DSS quickly addressed the situation with a brief statement shared on Twitter on Saturday morning, asserting that the suspended CBN governor is not being held in detention.
