Kaduna man cuts girlfriend into pieces for planning to dump him

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged man simply identified as Kenneth for allegedly hacking his girlfriend to death in the state capital.

Kenneth was said to have hacked his 27-year-old girlfriend identified as Ebenezer Agada using a machete to cut her into pieces until she died, for allegedly plotting to dump him for another man.

The graphic image of the 27-year-old lady went viral on social media across the state capital and beyond.

The state command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, while confirming the incident, said the man was rescued from a planned mob action that would have led to his death just to frustrate investigations into the matter.

Jalige, in a statement titled, ‘Operatives Arrest Suspect for Killing His Girlfriend,’ released to journalists in Kaduna, the state capital on Friday, said, “A suspect who allegedly murdered his girlfriend has been arrested while about to be lynched by a mob which would have jeopardised investigations.

“On 14/04/2023 at about 2130hrs, a distress call has it that there was a mob action at NEPA Round About and that the unruly crowd were about to lynch a suspect.

“Operatives were mobilised to the scene where they met the suspect lying unconscious and surrounded by the crowd.

“Information gathered reveals that the suspect by name Kenneth, surname not yet known, attacked his girlfriend, named Ebenezer Agada “F” aged 27yrs old of Command Secondary and Nursery school Sokoto Road, with a machete and inflicted multiple varying degrees of injuries on her face, arms and hands.

“In the process of the attack, he severed her left hand completely, alleging that he had spent a lot on her and she want to dump him for another man.”

The statement added that the victim was rushed to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital for treatment where a medical doctor on duty confirmed her dead.

The corpse has been deposited at the same hospital for an autopsy.
