Man, girlfriend suspected of ritual murders paraded naked in Anambra

A disturbing incident unfolded in Anambra State as a middle-aged man and his girlfriend, suspected to be involved in internet fraud, were paraded naked on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

They were accused of engaging in ritualistic killings, with the grim discovery of deceased individuals supposedly sacrificed for their heinous acts.

This distressing occurrence took place in Ihiala, a Local Government Area in Anambra State, just one week after another suspected ritualistic crime shocked the community.

In that case, a septuagenarian was brutally murdered, and his genital organs were severed in Umunze, situated in the Orumba South Local Government Area.

The two suspects apprehended in Ihiala were allegedly partaking in the illicit activity known as “Yahoo Yahoo,” a term commonly associated with internet fraud.

However, their alleged involvement did not stop at online scams, as they were now accused of resorting to ritual killings to further their criminal ambitions.

Disturbing visuals from the scene circulated widely on social media, revealing lifeless bodies loaded onto a wheelbarrow, while the accused individuals were coerced into taking turns pushing it.

The sight was a chilling reminder of the horrific acts they were accused of committing.
