Millions lost as fire ravages First Bank branch in Imo State

A fire outbreak has razed the Ahiara branch of First Bank PLC in Mbaise, Imo State, destroying properties worth millions of Naira.

According to a source, the fire started on Tuesday afternoon at a nearby fuel station and spread to the First Bank building, resulting in the loss of assets worth millions of Naira.

Police spokesperson for Imo State, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident and explained that the fire was put out through the combined efforts of firefighters from Owerri and the local community.

Okoye also disclosed that an investigation has commenced to determine the cause of the fire outbreak.
