Nigeria’s former Head of State, IBB, pledges support for Team New Nigeria
Former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has pledged to mobilise national support for Team New Nigeria (TNN) with a view to accomplishing the aims and objectives of the group.
This was made known Saturday in a statement signed by Dr Shuaib Muhammad Tettes, the team’s Head of Publicity, Media Engagement and Strategic Communications.
Babangida made the remark when the TNN led by its President, Dr Modibbo Yakubun Farakwai, paid him a courtesy visit in his residence at Top Hill, Minna in Niger State.
The former head of state who is also the grand patron of the group had earlier accepted honorary membership of the group in October 2021.
Earlier, the President of the group appreciated the good gesture of the former Nigerian President for accepting to be the grand patron of TNN.
He solicited support and guidance from the people and institutions within the framework of the TNN Centre for Democracy and Community Development.
Dr Farakwai said this is in conformity with a mission to encourage Nigeria through youth training and advocacy to enhance ethical, moral, social, economic and political pursuits.
The National Publicity Secretary of TNN, Dr Shuaib Muhammad Tettes and other members of the National Working Committee of the group were among the entourage.
