NSCDC arrests man for sodomizing minor in Jigawa

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 30-year-old man, Murtala Adamu for sodomizing a minor in the Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

According to a press statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSC Adamu Shehu, the incident happened on Thursday at Tsigi Quarters in Ringim town.

Adamu explained that the suspect was accused of allegedly luring a 13-year-old boy of the same address to sodomize him.

He said a medical examination which was conducted at a Sexual Assault and Referral Center, General Hospital, Dutse, revealed a rupture at the anal sphincter caused by repeated penetration in the victim’s anus.

Adamu said antibiotics and other drugs were administered to the victim to improve his health condition as a result of injuries he sustained.

The NSCDC spokesman said the suspect will be charged to court after a thorough investigation.
