Popular ’90s NTA newscaster, Aisha Bello Mustapha, is dead

Popular newscaster of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), in the ’90s and early 20’s, Aisha Bello Mustapha, is dead.

Aisha Bello Mustapha was general manager, NTA Parliament, and was among the popular casters on NTA Network News at 9 PM in the ’90s and early 20’s,

She rose to become one of the forces to be reckoned with in NTA before she started presenting ‘News Extra’ on NTA.

She retired in May 2022 after thirty-five years in service.

A statement announcing her death reads, “Innalilahi wa inna Alaihin Rajiun. May Allah forgive our Mother Hajia Aishat Bello Mustapha.

“Mama indeed you are a very kind-hearted person. We will miss you and hope you are enjoying Rahma.”

The statement said Funeral Prayer for the deceased journalist will be held in the central mosque Abuja by 1 pm on Monday, 11th December 2023.

One of her colleagues and deputy director of News with NTA, Abdullahi Garba Birnin Kudu, also announced the demise of the icon via his Facebook handle page.

He prayed Allah to forgive her and grant her Aljannat Firdaus.
