Renowned Adamawa doctor, Bitrus Chagwa, is dead

A popular medical practitioner in Adamawa state, Dr Bitrus Fidelis Chagwa is dead.

Chagwa is the MD/CEO of a popular private hospital, New Boshang Hospital Ltd. in Yola, the state capital, where he made unquantifiable contributions to humanity.

He was also a staff with the Obstetric and Gynaecology department at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola.

According to family source, Dr Chagwa died in a hospital in Kano in the early hours of Jan. 24th, and all arrangements have been made to convey the corpse back to Adamawa state for burial.

The source added “It is a great loss to the state and the country, an irreparable loss to our family, his friends and associates.

According to report, indigenes described the medical practitioner as a philanthropist, who would generously foot patient’s unaffordable hospital bills.
