The Islamic Republic of Iran has finally responded to Israel’s long-standing provocation, launching missiles and drones in what marks the beginning of a new and dangerous chapter. This response, though regrettable, was inevitable.
Israel’s recent attack on Iranian soil was not only unprovoked but also a blatant violation of international law. It was an act of war—clear, deliberate, and unjustifiable.

In just the past year, Israel has launched military strikes against Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and now Iran. These operations have resulted in the deaths of countless civilians, including women, children, scientists, and officials. The cumulative toll is not just numbers—it is humanity bleeding, mourning, and resisting.

What makes the Iranian case more egregious is the backdrop of ongoing diplomatic engagements. While Iran was negotiating with the United States, Israel struck. This not only undermines diplomacy but also raises serious questions about America’s complicity—especially in light of statements from President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu acknowledging prior knowledge of the strike.
The double standards are glaring: when Israel attacks, it is said to be defending itself. But when Iran responds, it is labelled as aggression. If Israel has a right to self-defence, then surely Iran—and every other sovereign nation—must have the same right.
This evening’s Iranian retaliation is a warning shot. It signals the start of a broader regional crisis that, if unchecked, could spiral beyond the Middle East. Those who cheer Israel’s aggression today may find their own nations under threat tomorrow.
Let this be clear: standing against injustice is not anti-Semitism—it is a moral obligation. Christians, Muslims, Jews, and people of conscience must resist the normalisation of violence, occupation, and oppression.
This is not just a political issue—it is a human one. And in the name of God and humanity, we must resist this descent into chaos and carnage.
