Three-storey building collapses in Lagos

Tragedy struck early Monday morning when a three-storey building collapsed on Amusu Street, near Baale Bus Stop, in the Orile Iganmu area of Lagos State.

According to an eyewitness, the incident, which occurred around 8 a.m., thankfully did not result in any casualties.

The incident caused confusion in the area as residents fled in different directions. Fortunately, it was reported that all occupants of the building had evacuated before the collapse occurred.

Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident.

As of the latest update, he stated that the evacuation of debris was ongoing and no casualties had been reported.
