Undercover operation exposes illicit drink manufacturing operation in Lagos

In a covert operation conducted on December 20, the Lagos State Police apprehended two individuals, Imo Lawrence and Magnus Nwonka, allegedly involved in the production of counterfeit beverages.

The arrests took place in the Ojo Division area following the discovery of the suspects in possession of fake drinks.

During the investigation, Imo Lawrence and Magnus Nwonka cooperated with the police, leading them to an inconspicuous multi-room “factory” where the illicit drinks were purportedly manufactured.

The police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, emphasized that the investigation into this clandestine operation is still ongoing as law enforcement seeks to dismantle the entire network.
