Gov. Buni condemns Geidam attack, urges more prayers for lasting peace

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Honourable Mai Mala Buni, has condemned the Thursday attack by terrorists on Geidam community, calling for more prayers for lasting peace in the state and the country at large.

The governor described the attack as heinous especially in this holy month of Ramadan when the faithful seek the mercy of Allah against engaging in obnoxious acts.
Governor Buni commended security agencies for their resilience, assuring of more synergy between government and the security agencies to tackle all crimes in the state.
He urged the people to always volunteer useful and timely information to security operatives to enhance proactive measures against criminals.
“We should also use the opportunity provided by the holy month of Ramadan to pray for our state and country” Buni said.
He assured the commitment of his administration towards an enduring peace, security and development across the state.
Governor Buni also commiserated with the victims of the attack as he assured them of government support.
