Fire engulfs Zamfara Assembly Speaker’s home

A devastating fire has engulfed the residence of Bilyaminu Moriki, the Speaker of the Zamfara House of Assembly, in Gusau. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, was confirmed by Bello Madaro, the chief press secretary to the House.

Clerk of the House, Mahmud Aliyu, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic event, which resulted in the loss of properties valued at millions of Naira, although thankfully, no lives were lost.

“The management of the Zamfara Assembly was shocked over the fire incident,” Aliyu stated. “On behalf of the lawmakers and entire staff of the House, I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Speaker and his family during this difficult time.”

In a message of support, Aliyu urged Moriki and his family to view the incident as a divine act determined by God and offered prayers to prevent any future disasters. “We hope for better days ahead and pray to God to avert a recurrence of such an unfortunate event,” he added.
