Fika local govt realises N42m as Neptune Prime donates N1m for education appeal fund

Fika local government Education Recovery Appeal Fund said it had within the week generated over fourty two million naira, with the highest donation coming from Senator representing Yobe South senatorial district, Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomoi who donated the sum of ten million naira.

Speaking at the occasion, the guest speaker of the day, Professor Muhammad Munkaila dwelt extensively on the importance of education, stressing that without education no meaningful development would be achieved.

Professor Munkaila therefore called on people of the area to assist so as to restore the lost glory of education in the state.
He further called on the state government to review the school curriculum in order to suit the society and environment.

In her welcome address earlier, the chairperson of the local government, Hajiya Halima Kyari Joda thanked the people of the area for their contributions towards the development of education in the state, adding that the gesture and unity exhibited during the launching would no doubt take the state to greater heights.

Other donors are Fika and Gudi Emirates who donated the sum of 1.7 and 1.5 million naira respectively. Others are Yobe State APC Party Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, 5 million naira, Isiaku Daya 1 million naira and Neptune Prime two pages worth one million naira, among others.
