Community expresses gratitude as Gov. Buni completes electricity project in Yobe

The people of Sumsumma, Kasaisa, and Dikumari communities in Damaturu Local Government Area of Yobe State have applauded Governor Mai Mala Buni for completing the electrification of Sumsumma, Dukumari and its connection to the national grid.

Yusuf Ali, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Digital & Strategic Communications to Governor Mai Mala Buni, said the community members also promised to support Governor Buni in the 2023 elections.

Ali said the residents gave the assurance when the General Manager, Rural Electrification Board, Umara Mustapha Goniri visited the area on an inspection tour of electrification projects in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the residents, Ba Maina, expressed excitement about the visitation and appreciated Governor Buni’s administration for developing their communities.

According to him, “We are happy with Governor Mai Mala Buni for this singular gesture, we will support him to come back again in 2023 and continue the good work.

Another resident, Adamu Sumsumma, said the electricity in their community is a thing of joy as it will bring great development to their community.

He said, “The electricity has helped us, we can charge our phones, watch television, power our pumping machines anytime we feel.

“We are going to support him to win massively in the 2023 general election, “Adamu said.
