Yobe gov’t bags best revenue remittance performance award

The Yobe state government has received the best-performing state in revenue remittance award 2021 from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Mr Mohammed Abare Mayanda, the State Coordinator in charge of Borno, Yobe, and Bauchi states, stated this in Damaturu on Friday while presenting the award of Excellence plaque to Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

Mayanda explained that Yobe state under the leadership of Governor Buni has been an exceptionally performing state in Revenue Remittance.

He said Yobe state is a role model for others in collation and Remittance of Revenue.

According to the coordinator, the states were categorised, with Yobe state emerging as the best in the Zone B category.

Responding, Governor Buni, assured that his government would continue to live up to expectations.

He charged the federal agency to work towards improving the synergy between the state government and the service.
