Residents recue suicidal man from Osun River

A man identified as Oladeji Saheed was rescued on Monday morning after he attempted suicide by jumping into the Osun River in Osogbo, Osun State.

The man has reportedly tried to commit suicide by jumping into the Osun River many times and finally succeeded on Monday around 7 am.

He was however rescued through the combined efforts of residents, the Federal Fire Service and O’Ambulance personnel.

Residents also revealed that the man lives without relatives along the bank of the Osun River.

He is currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed medical facility.

The attempted suicide comes days after another lady committed suicide by jumping from the Gbodofon bridge into the Osun River.
